RCA
Established in 1919, the Radio Corporation of America, or RCA, started out manufacturing radio receivers and was also responsible for the country’s first national radio station, the National Broadcasting company; better known today as NBC.
It grew to become the biggest communications company in the US, manufacturing radios, phonographs, televisions, videodisc players, and satellite receivers. RCA was originally started as a subsidiary of GE but they were forced to relinquish control due to antitrust legislation.
