McAfee

Mcafee is a prolific, security software developer and publisher based in Santa Clara, California, USA. The company was founded by John McAfee in 1987 and has since found success with products such as VirusScan, SiteAdvisor, Validate, Change Control, Entercept, IntruShield, and other digital security tools for both home and commercial use.

As well as through organic growth, McAfee has increased n size through a series of acquisitions including Endeavour, ScanAlert and SafeBoot. They were themselves bought by Intel in 2010.
