HITACHI
Hitachi is a multinational conglomerate based in Tokyo, Japan and was founded by pioneering engineer Namihei Odaira in 1910.
The company began with the manufacturing of induction motors for use in the copper mining industry but has since grown to produce a wide range of electronic systems, aircraft, defense systems, construction machinery and vehicles, and consumer electronics.
It is part of the huge DKB group of companies that includes, among many others, Fujitsu, Kawasaki, Kobe Steel, and the Yokohama Rubber Company.
