Fruit of the Loom

Fruit of the Loom was founded in 1851 by Robert Knight in Rhode Island, USA. Starting off selling simple pieces of fabric, Fruit of the Loom is now one of the world’s largest manufacturers of underwear, activewear, T-shirts, jeans, and casual clothing for men, women, children, and babies.

As well selling clothes under the Fruit of the Loom banner, the company also markets clothing under the BVD, Funpals, FunGals, Screen Stars, and Underoos brand names.

They were purchased by Berkshire Hathaway in 2002 and are now based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA.
